Whooo's Reading
My AC students are testing out a new reading comprehension program called "Whoo's Reading". Yes, it has an owl theme, so the pun is definitely intentional.
Anyways- the online program is described as a more in-depth version of something the kids may have used in elementary school. In this program however, the kids are required to submit written responses to earn points. The text-dependent questions are built around our Georgia Standards for ELAR.
They will be writing short reviews and justifying their opinions about the program. After explaining their findings and exploring the website, I hope incorporate it into our independent reading assignments. If it seems like a worthwhile program, we may possibly roll it out to all of the classes.
