Week 1-5
We are starting our 5th week, can you believe it? Last week was full of eclipse excitement and analyzing poetry, so we didn't start The Scholarship Jacket like I had hoped. TSJ will take up most of this week, with a few formative assignments related to the narrative and the vocabulary in the text. I will be using digital resources from Springboard, Vocabulary.com, and Common Lit- so please make sure you have created accounts for all 3. (Please see previous posts for links for each resource) Also, we will take our 1st Quarter Touchstone Assessment (a CCSD assessment) at the end of the week. Then it's time for a much-needed 3 day weekend!
Looking Ahead...
Monday- Cold Read TSJ and discuss unknown vocabulary
Tuesday- TSJ text-dependent questions and summarizing the IRR (main points in a personal narrative)
Wednesday- EARLY RELEASE, continue with TSJ
Thursday- TSJ, work towards developing our own narratives, LAST DAY TO TURN IN LATE/MISSING WORK BEFORE PROGRESS REPORTS ARE FINALIZED
Friday- Touchstone Assessment
